Murdered Physicists, Missing Commanders, and Fireballs in the Sky
"Keep digging"
Murdered physicists.
Missing commanders.
Fireballs in the sky.
UFO Disclosure.
We have a variety of mysterious stories surfacing in mainstream and social media nearing the end of March 2026, from a dozen deaths and disappearances of aerospace related researchers over the last 18 months, to fireballs lighting up the skies more than ever before, and UFO Disclosure being discussed by notable journalists and government officials.
Questions surround each one of these particular stories, with hours of research that could be devoted to each one - but from a big picture perspective, are they related?
What is actually going on in our skies, and on the ground?
Let’s start with the disappearance of a retired Air Force general that has many scratching their heads.
THE DISAPPEARANCE
On February 27th, a missing person alert for retired Major General William Neil McCasland was sent out by Bernalillo’s County Sheriffs Office, the New Mexico county that Albuquerque is in.
They initially ran this as a Silver Alert, which is typically used for missing senior citizens with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other mental disabilities in order to help locate them. This caused many to believe McCasland wandered off with dementia.
Although this Silver Alert was a hasty judgement by authorities, for they issued it based off of the simple fact that McCasland was taking a medication - even though this medication was not for dementia or Alzheimers.
McCasland had his full faculties present when he went missing.
After a few days, authorities rescinded the Silver Alert and posted this as a general missing persons case.
It’s also of note that General McCasland was an avid outdoorsman. He would not be one to just “go missing in the mountains”, forget necessary gear when traveling, or forget to dial home and say what he was up to.
In an updated timeline posted two weeks after his disappearance, Bernalillo Sheriffs announced that items McCasland had left behind were his phone and smart watch, while taking his wallet and .38 revolver with him.
He left behind any possible device that could track him, while he took his pistol and wallet with him.
Was he kidnapped?
Was he on the run from… something?
He has yet to be located or found.
THE BACKGROUND
General McCasland had a storied career in the Air Force. He was not a combat guy, he was a lab guy. A PhD astronautical engineer that spent his career overseeing advanced technologies, data facilities, and weapons programs.
His two most notable appointments include Director of Special Programs within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics from 2009 to 2011, as well as his his commanding position of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio from 2011 to 2013.
As Director of Special Programs in 2009, he had oversight and review of nearly all of America's most sensitive and secretive capabilities and programs.
And as Commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory he led billions of dollars worth of research and development programs, this at one of the military's largest scientific centers.
Yet, these are not the most notable data points of his past that make his disappearance mysterious.
General McCasland was in the news back in 2016 for his name appearing in John Podesta's emails published by WikiLeaks. I remember reading and reporting on this vividly, for the UFO/zero-point energy topics discussed in Podesta’s email were just as mind blowing to me as the “pizza” codes.
Tom Delonge, front man of the famed band blink-182, has always an interest in UFO Disclosure, and he was found emailing John Podesta during the the 2015/2016 timeframe about this subject. In one of these emails, Tom Delonge claims that General McCasland was advising him, and had even help put together Delonge’s team for his To The Stars Academy UFO group. A team that consisted of “former” CIA agents and the current, at the time, director of Lockheed Skunkworks classified development programs
Other emails show that General McCasland and his wife had even jumped on a Skype call with Tom Delonge and John Podesta, presumably to discuss matters related to the UFO disclosure initiatives that Podesta and Delonge were conversing about.
In the above referenced Wikileaks email, Tom Delonge claims that General McCasland “is not a skeptic”, and further claims that General McCasland was in charge of “the exact laboratory where the Roswell UFO crash was taken to” (referencing AFRL, or similar, at Wright-Patterson AFB).
We don't know if Tom Delonge is necessarily telling the truth, he could surely be embellishing the story to get on John Podesta’s good side. Yet the simple fact that McCasland is referenced in these emails, and went so far as to schedule Skype calls with Delonge and Podesta, leaves much to the imagination.
Speaking of McCasland’s wife, she put out a notice on her Facebook page in mid-March, updating her friends and family (and public) on the latest regarding the investigation into her husband’s disappearance.
She also took the time to make a few jokes regarding the "conspiracy theories" online, which relate McCasland’s supposed UFO connections to his disappearance.
A couple things stand out to me from her post:
- The mobilization of a large amount of agencies involved in his search, from FBI to local offices to Air Force Special Investigations
- The jokes about being “beamed up to the mothership”
General McCasland would have surely known national security secrets given his career, so the massive mobilization may indicate that authorities are concerned about a possible kidnapping, or some kind of situation that would risk revealing these secrets.
And then I find the joking about “ET bodies are Wright-Patt” and “beamed him up to the mothership” jokes to be… odd. If someone’s husband goes missing, would they be in the frame of mind to make jokes like this? It goes to note, there is no evidence or suspicion that has Susan McCasland was involved in her husband’s disappearance, this is maybe how she copes with loss, through humor.
Representative Tim Burchett, one of the people in Congress with a particular interest in the UFO topic, commented on McCasland’s disappearance during a recent podcast. He did not give any extra information that the public doesn’t already know, although he appears to have suspicions about it.
THE X ACCOUNT
While onternet sleuths were investigating McCasland’s case, some researchers came across this particular account on X and theories abound that it might be either connected to General McCasland, or an anonymous account run by McCasland himself.
The account goes by the handle TMBSpaceShips on X, titling itself ELECTRIC PROPULSIVE SPACECRAFT SYSTEMS.
The most curious aspect is that this account had tweeted almost every day for two years straight - 1,655 posts since November 2022 - yet the last post we have from it is February 27, the very same day that General McCasland went missing.
In the bio of this account, the user also claims to be a retired 38 year Air Force PhD engineer, which very closely matches the specs of McCasland’s career. It does not exactly match, although one could presume that if run by McCasland, details might've been purposely skewed to maintain a sense of plausible deniability.
I spent a few hours scrolling through all of posts from this account, and I do not personally believe that this account was ran by General McCasland. This is due to the nature of the language used, the political leanings of some of the posts (McCasland and his wife were apparently fairly liberal, and this account seems to be quite conservative, or at least libertarian in nature), and the way that some of the posts were made in a "shit posting" style. Not “professional” in the way one would think a retired general to behave.
Although, the simple fact that this account stopped posting the same day that the General went missing is quite notable. I do think it's possible that whoever ran this account might be connected to General McCasland.
If you’re interested in the science of gravity control and exotic propulsion systems, give that account a scroll. Some fascinating ideas on there.
CONNECTED DISAPPEARANCES?
As further research around the General’s disappearance progressed, internet journalists began noticing that there has been a string of death or mysterious disappearances in the aerospace, physics, and astronomy industries over the last 18 months. Not all of them are connected (that we know or have good evidence of), although a few may be. Same programs and/or institutions, at least. This is not a verification, but suggests a possibility.
Another aerospace engineer, Monica Reza, disappeared without a trace in Los Angeles 9 months before General McCasland, and they were loosely connected through a particular program involving rocket alloys. They did not work directly together, but McCasland likely would have had purview over her research while commanding the Air Force Research Laboratory.
Notable deaths from this recent stretch:
You may remember the death of MIT physicist Nuno Loureiro, who was shot outside of his home in Boston a few months ago, December 2025. He was a notable nuclear researcher and plasma physicist at MIT.
I have also reported on the murder of Caltech astronomer Carl Grillmair, who was also recently shot outside of his home in Antelope Valley, Los Angeles County, February 2026.
The list of contractors, physicist, and engineers who have either died or gone missing over the last year and a half has grown to at least one dozen names.
THE TIMING
I find the timing of General McCasland’s disappearance to be quite peculiar, given his history and connections with Democrat-aligned UFO “Disclosure” efforts (I use the word Disclosure lightly here, as I do not think these were genuine transparency efforts), and the recent statement from President Trump calling for release of UFO files.
McCasland went missing only one week after Trump made this announcement.
Could McCasland be on the run because he does not want to answer questions or be investigated about anything related to his Disclosure efforts, or any potential technology or scientific cover up he may had been involved with, or at least potentially knew about?
We have no necessary basis for thinking that speculation is true, but it’s one path the conspiracy minded may go down. The timing is the significant factor, here.
Here is my video report detailing this information, and more, published on my Destroying the Illusion YouTube channel.
CONNECTION TO METEOR UPTICK?
Over the last few weeks, videos of meteors (supposed meteors) have been going viral online. Many videos.
While some of these viral videos are misrepresented or fake (old videos, Chinese rocket re-entry, SpaceX launches), there has undoubtedly been an uptick in fireballs being seen across the country - both east and west coast, from Ohio, to California, to Texas and Florida.
AccuWeather has tracked the uptick and notes that there has already been 10 “fireball events” already this year, a fireball event being classified as any fireball with 100 or more reports about it.
We have already had more fireball events this year than any other year, with the month of March alone surpassing most all other years, at least for the past 14 years.
I’m not sure if there are international reports of fireballs that we are missing, or if these reports are mainly confined to the U.S. - this would be an important data point to figure out.
Questions arise:
- Why are we getting an uptick in fireball events?
- Are these actually meteors?
- And are the murders and disappearances of aerospace and astronomy experts related in any way to the fireballs being witnessed?
Research group TheSentinel has been reporting on some of these missing and murdered researchers, as well as the 3I/ATLAS comet over the last few months (which we will get to in a moment).
Representative Tim Burchett shared one of their posts the other day, simply saying “keep digging”.
Does Tim Burchett have access to classified information about what’s going on that we do not, and is urging citizen journalists to find the truth?
It’s quite possible.
It’s also quite possible that Tim Burchett is theorizing like we all are and does not have access to anything deeper, but regardless, there appears to be dots connecting these stories.
Harvard scientist Avi Loeb, who has gone viral in recent years for his UFO discussions and efforts for “Disclosure”, suggests there may be a link between the “comet” that recently passed through our solar system, 3I/ATLAS, and the uptick in fireball events.
Now, I don’t resonate with some of Avi Loeb’s work. He has aligned himself with many I view as mainstream UFO gatekeepers, and some of his statements over the years seem to be more clickbait than anything rooted in logic or reason, but his suggestion here is one that I do think deserves attention.
The above photo details 3I/ATLAS’s track through our solar system. It’s closest point to Earth came in late October 2025, approximately 5 months ago.
In August 2025, a space observatory noticed a gas plume extending from the 3I/ATLAS comet, accompanied by fragments of debris. Apparently with the comet’s particular speed and trajectory, if any debris (or object) were to jettison off of ATLAS, it would be coming into contact with Earth right about now, late March 2026.
WHAT IS CONNECTED, AND WHAT IS NOT?
Is General McCasland’s disappearance related to the Trump Administrations push for UFO Disclosure?
We have no verification of this, but given his historical connections to Tom Delonge and John Podesta, I find it at least somewhat noteworthy that his disappearance was right after Trump’s UFO statement.
Are any of these murdered or missing physicists and researchers linked?
While some of the deaths and disappearances do not appear to be, there is at link some link between a few of them, whether it was the same lab they worked at (Air Force Research Lab in many cases), or similar projects they were associated with.
Do the deaths and disappearances of these researched tie in any way to the fireball events being witnessed in our skies?
A couple of the deaths and disappearances are of astronomers and aerospace researchers who would have been perusing our skies.
Are these fireball events benign meteors, or are any of them something more?
There was plenty of clickbait online calling 3I/ATLAS a giant alien craft or a sign a doomsday, although minds must remain open as to what the object may have really been, and it’s purpose for being in our region of space if it was indeed “something else”.
All of these stories are developing, and research continues into the connection, if any, between the deaths, disappearances, and sky anomalies.
2026 is turning out to be a very weird year.
Keep your eyes peeled to the skies and your mind open to the possibilities.

Thanks, Jordan. An intriguing mystery.
Have you been following Weston Warren’s reports / video interviews on the electromagnetic anomaly (aka the Black Star) currently passing through our solar system? He had 3 very interesting interviews on the Ryan Files (YT). I mention it here because it is not the same phenomenon as the 31/Atlas comet which you mentioned.
Missing without a trace made me think of portals to different dimensions.
Excellent sleuthing and a fascinating read. Well done!
