On Andrew Tate and "Truth Telling" Cults of Personality
Identify narcissistic tendencies and guard yourself from predatory behavior of internet influencers
The first time I heard of Andrew Tate was a few months ago, a little late to the party since I couldn’t care less about nonsense internet trends. If you aren’t familiar with who this guy is, he blew up on social media this year in “motivation” and “mindset” circles with the controversial life advice he posts, along with sharing his extravagant lifestyle of private jets and Bugatti sports cars on his social media. He acquired a devoted following of young men who think that by following Tate’s advice they will become wealthy alpha males, and he also developed a following of social justice warriors who can’t stand him.
I was curious as to the fad around the guy, Tate fanatics saying that he’s “helping men become men again” and “destroying woke culture”, so I went to check out his Instagram. The first thing I noticed was that nearly every single picture posted for months was either him with his shirt off, his diamond Rolex, a pic of his Bugatti sports cars, or him on his private jet. I thought to myself, this is what all these dudes are fawning over? This materialism? This is what they think success is?
I wasn’t impressed, and quickly logged out of Instagram. Unfortunately with the way their algorithms works, Tate content was forced in my face every time I logged into Instagram for weeks. Annoying, but this did allow me to listen to some of the ideologies he was preaching that one side of the political internet labeled “mysoginistic” and the other side as “a man’s man destroying woke culture”.
To be honest, he would say a few interesting things about “The Matrix” and The Powers that Be that I did find curious and resonated with. I did like a popular personality doling out some red pills like that. On the other hand, I heard some pretty basic bitch comments from him. Materialism, pseudo-spirituality, and pseudo-masculinity is heavily promoted by Tate. Looks like he peddled just a few red pills to rope people into buying his big bowl of black pills. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want my children to take life advice from him.
I dared to make a post about the fake alpha/ immature masculine mentality that Tate brings to the table onto my Telegram and Truth Social pages. I was quickly met with harsh blowback from Tate bros clearly overly obsesses with the guy. “Oh you’re just another beta, Jordan! You have no idea what you’re talking about.”
Another great example of an online personality building a cult following around themselves who view this false idol as someone who can do no wrong. Don’t you dare question their false idol, because if you do you’ll become enemy number one. “Just another one of the haters”. Cognitive Dissonance is quite a bitch.
I didn’t hear or see much about Tate for a few weeks until a video crossed my path, can’t remember if it was on YouTube or Instagram, but it was a video of this guy doing a review of Tate’s online courses that he sells. I was curious exactly how he made all of his money, so I watched this review and found that Tate’s course, called “Hustler’s University”, is quite overrated. I suppose if you want to learn internet marketing it may he helpful, but from the standpoint of trying to better oneself, which I think most of Tate’s followers go to him for, one will leave empty handed.
Then a few days ago he got arrested in Romania over human trafficking and money laundering allegations. At first I wasn’t sure if this had been some set up to smear the guy, as I had seen some of Tate’s proponents suggest this theory online. “They’re trying to shut him up! It’s all untrue!” - yet a few researcher sent me information on how Andrew Tate actually made his money, at least at the beginning of his career. Turns out he and his brother ran a webcam porn business using cam girls that would work for them. Basically internet pimps. That answered a lot of questions about how this guy came to prominence. Then it appears he got into internet marketing, build an online course to sell, and used controversy to propel himself into viral stardom.
I then posting to my social media pages suggesting well, maybe the charges are trumped up, but many there’s something to them. I wasn’t making a judgement to whether he was guilty or not, for I have no real clue, but I did give my opinion to Tate’s ideologies in my comments, and I figured heck, if he used to run a webcam porn business then that gives us reason to believe that these more recent allegation could have a bit of truth to them. This proceeded to get me some more nasty attacks from the Tatebros, people who view this guy as some sort of guru master who can do no wrong.
Now, I have openly questioned a few folks in the “patriot”, “truth-teller” and “spiritual” communities for some time, those who I believe are money and fame hungry fake-patriots/fake-gurus who scam their followers with clickbait and superficial content. This has garnered me quite a bit of vilification by their devoted followers who are clearly far too emotionally attached to these individuals. They call me “divisive” and “negative” for daring to expose the B.S. their favorite influencers peddle. The reactions that I received from the Tate fans was no different.
We continue to see how these online personalities build what are essentially cults around themselves. They manipulate their audience with feel-good speeches, empty promises, and clickbait to garner themselves a devoted following who will bring them fame and money, and the brave who stand up to expose the scams and charades are vehemently attacked and ridiculed by the blind in an effort to get them to shut up.
It’s a predator mentality that these personalities operate with, and we must guard ourselves against their narcissistic influence. We must understand how the self-serving operate to control our minds, and we need to guard our emotions and thoughts from them. These narcissistic types are everywhere and prey on the gullible and vulnerable.
I see this all too often in the patriot/truth telling world. Fake claims of having “insiders” or “secret sources” to build mysteriousness around the internet personality, making sure their audiences comes to them and only them for the “real intel”. They give false promises of knowing exactly when the “big bombs will drop!”, and fake intel that “something big has already happened! It’s going to come out!” (it never does). They clickbait with fake stories about new financial systems making everyone rich, of military arrests and globalists at GITMO, of children being saved in tunnels, of aliens saving humanity, I could go on and on with the insanity I’ve heard from tracking these influencers. Most of them are fairly new to the citizen journalism scene, only started their video channels within the last year or two, my guess is to capitalize on the wild west that is conspiracy theory research and the social media reporting scene. They see easy money, easy fame, and vulnerable people who feel lost and scared about the world are their easy prey. “Hopium” is a new term invented to describe what these con-artists peddle, as their followers are essentially addicted to their emotionally-driven misinformation. It’s a mockery that they call themselves truth tellers.
The fanaticism built around these pseudo-truth tellers is quite similar to that which has been built around Tate - “I like what this internet guy just said, so I like him! Oh, you dared question him? You must be jealous! Now I hate you!”
Control your emotions, don’t let your emotions control you - or let other people use your emotions to control you. Make sure you’re the one programming your own mind because if you aren’t, are you really waking up to the Matrix?

just want to say that Jordan, I always appreciate the cautious approach you take to sharing or passing on information! I don’t necessarily suspect new-comers of wrong motives, but I do pick up on those who spend WAY more time talking about themselves than digging for truth, usually setting people up with click-bait first! Waste of my time! Like you say, they talk in vague terms about certain topics but never have proof or verifiable details. Keep up your good work…you have become so polished and confident since the first days you were online!
They always try to lure you in with money, cars, and hot chicks; i dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus name
