Here is a running list of all Twitter Files releases through March 18th, 2023.
There have been 19 parts so far.
Six independent journalists have been given access to Twitter’s files related to censorship and government collusion by Elon Musk, and they have been releasing threaded reports of their investigations on Twitter - Matt Taibbi, Michael Shellenberger, Bari Weiss, Lee Fang, David Zweig, and Alex Berenson. (Using Twitter to expose Twitter, poetic!)

Pt 1 - The Twitter Files

Overview: Introduction to what we will be learning about the inner workings of Twitter to moderate content and how the employees communicated with each other (and the government) to handle censorship issues.

#8 - The Biden Team emailed Twitter with requests to censor content before the 2020 election.
#11 - Data showing how overwhelmingly lopsided Twitter was in terms of political donations. 95% of Twitter employees donated to Democrats.

Overview: A look into how Twitter employees handled what’s known as “shadow banning”, along with screenshots of what these employees saw on Twitter’s backend.

Pt 4 - The Removal of Donald Trump: January 7

Overview: A continued look into how Twitter employees handled the banning of President Trump, particularly the day after the events of January 6th, 2021. The employees arbitrarily interpreted Twitter’s rules in order to remove Trump’s account.

Unnumbered - Yoel Roth (head of Twitter Trust & Safety team at the time) discussing banning “QAnon terms” (that actually had nothing to do with Q).

#7 - The FBI’s social media-focused task force, known as FTIF, created in the wake of the 2016 election, swelled to 80 agents.
#10 - Agencies like the FBI and DHS regularly sent social media content to Twitter through multiple entry points, pre-flagged for moderation.

Overview: Twitter aided and abetted U.S. Military psychological operations on their platform, despite publicly saying that they would shut down any state-sponsored propaganda networks.

#3 - Twitter gave approval & special protection to the U.S. military’s online psychological influence operations.
#18 - Twitter actively assisted CENTCOM’s network going back to 2017 and as late as 2020 knew these accounts were covert/designed to deceive to manipulate the discourse, a violation of Twitter’s policies & promises. They waited years to suspend.

Pt 9 - Twitter and “Other Government Agencies”

Overview: Not only did the FBI and DHS collude with Twitter to censor online speech, but the CIA was also found to collude with Twitter on censorship as well.

Pt 10 - How Twitter Rigged The COVID Debate

Overview: The United States government pressured Twitter and other social media platforms to elevate certain content and suppress other content about Covid-19.
Notable Tweets:
#8 - When the Biden admin took over, one of their first meeting requests with Twitter executives was on Covid. The focus was on “anti-vaxxer accounts.” Especially Alex Berenson
#11 - A December 2022 summary of meetings with the White House by Lauren Culbertson, Twitter’s Head of U.S. Public Policy, adds new evidence of the White House’s pressure campaign, and cements that it repeatedly attempted to directly influence the platform.
#16 - Contractors, in places like the Philippines, were also hired to moderate content. They were given decision trees to aid in the process.
